So, you probably don't know how old the house bank is.....
They may well be toast already. If you can stay on shore power a couple of days and then do the life test, you may learn a lot. Also, look at those batteries (we call a house bank) and see if there are little stickers on them. Those will have a code that may be clear and may not. It should be month and year.
When you find those, come back here with that and a description of those batteries and how they are hooked up. We may (will probably) have some good advise for you.
When I say stay on shore power, I mean full time and not just while you are painting.
