How long does it sit? Even if you "Disconnect" the batteries using the salesman switch there are some loads that do not go away.. Also many folks have shall we say "Great Expectations" as to battery life.
Some numbers. A 1141 lamp sucks about 1.5 amps. so every hour it is sucking 1.5 Amp Hours when it is on.
Group 24 batteries hold only about 75 amp hours
Group 27 and 29 just under/over 100
Group 31 about 120-130
And you can only use about 20-25 percent before they are start to age real fast.
GC-2 (6 volt golf car batteries you use two of 'em in series to make one big 12 volt battery) hold about 220 amp hours.. and you can use half.
Sitting for more than a week you WILL need to either PHYSICALLY disconnect the batteries (After charging) or plug in to keep 'em charged.
IF you are using light or other stuff inside the RV. even make it daily.
