- Bruce_BrownModeratorSumitomos have a good reputation, I wouldn't be afraid of them.
- Cauffield65ExplorerI had them on my 2001 Monaco Diplomat for 6 years before I got a different motorhome. Very little balancing and they road very well, never had a problem with them I was very satisfied. 7000 mile trip from Florida to San Francisco.

It's apparent from the pictures that they were inexpensive and that they hold air. :B
Unlike Michelin with a bunch of sidewall cracks for double the price :E
I'm sure that all tires look great when new. Come back and report how the Sumitomoes do after 6 years, if you haven't gone off the highway due to a blowout.
That would be Michelin with there known zipper blow outs. - sjholtExplorerHumm,
Got 3 years on Sumitomos and not a problem yet. 255-70-22.5.
I got 6 for 1200 + taxes. Installed them myself with Balancing beads. They are good tires so far. - wvabeerExplorer

Yeah, I would never purchase Michelin tire for an RV they are way to expensive for what you get. I have not heard anything bad about Japanese brand Sumitomo. A few owner operators clued me in on these. This was close size to the 255/80 that was factory. - rgatijnet1Explorer III
