I was looking at possibly replacing the stock Sachs shocks on my new M2 Renegade Verona after seeing some M2's are coming OEM equipped with Bilstiens. Interesting piece of info was supplied to me...Forest River utilizes a much lighter rated front axle (12,000 lbs vs's Renegade's 13,300 lb) for their DX3 line and they therefore need the extra heavy duty Bilstiens to counter the light front axles. Dynamax all so uses a shorter wheelbase chassis for even their longer coaches so that they can move some weight off the front axle to the drive axle, really makes for some significant overhangs behind that rear axle. Very interesting info in my opinion. Just shows that in most cases you get what you pay for.
