Two topics always seem come up in any RV tire discussion. Goodyear with the tire "rivering" thing and Michelin with the excessive sidewall cracking. I've never own a GY on any RV, but have had Michelins on two different rigs and all of them had cracks. Since I never had a blowout it may be cosmetic only, but it was always a concern when I was driving on them. Based on the above they are the two manufacturers I personally will not buy. Also, not RV related but the only tires that I have every fail on my cars/trucks over the years were Michelins (twice).
Now I realize that many have had good luck with both manufacturers and Michelin always seems to be rated highly, but for my piece of mind I will continue to go with one of the many other manufacturers out there. I am currently running on Bridgestones, but they are less than two years old so to early to judge. However, so far so good and the ride appears to be the same. Good luck in whatever direction you go.
