Hey Andy - welcome to the forum! Congrats on getting off the ground! Like a few have posted above, I would suggest your first outing be in your own driveway. Nothing stresses folks out worse than things not working or being broken down/stranded away from home on what was supposed to be a fun weekend outing.
My wife declared "I will never set foot in that RV again!" on one of my rigs due to little things that didn't work, were easy to fix, but in her mind, set the stage for "unreliable" and "not fun".
Anyway, welcome aboard and "Hi" from a neighbor to the south (but I was a closer neighbor years ago - I grew up just a little east of you in Custer, SD.).
