When the temps really drop the furnace is going to run a lot (more on than off) and the blowers are going to demand a lot of kilowatts from your system. Stay on top of the battery bank and keep the standby generator ready for use. As long as you can keep the propane flowing and the furnace running your water system should be safe.
You actually gave me a awesome idea... the blowers! I just added that to my list... I am going to add some 12 vdc whisper fans into the ducting system, well not INTO it literally but at points I can add one to help move the warm air better and into areas where the airflow is actually relatively weak.. The current system only uses the main blower in the heater. By adding supplemental blowers, say in the front and rear ducting, I can get the airflow moving better which will actually help heat the air inside much faster...
