Hi,
I think you may find that doing this is now considered illegal in most places.Malakie wrote:
Waste tanks will be closed and emptied as needed into a drain field I am building out of gravel, lyme and biodegradable solution... a mini version of what a normal sewer system uses.
Yep you are right.. It probably is. And I do not care. My land. I am taking steps to do it properly, not just openly dumping it. I will alternate between two different 'pits' I am making for this as well to help even more. We do not produce that much hard waste and grey water is well, just water for the most part.
I look at things this way now. I served to protect the rights of free men and women. Being free is something I believe in and while many can argue their points of living under the thumb of a bunch of bureaucrats and politicians, I will not.
They can make up and rules and regulations they want. Whether I follow them is up to MY decision, MY morals and my right as a free man.
Yes, some rules are for the better good and are things reasonable for civilization. BUT MANY others are not.
Besides, if the SHTF, it is not really going to matter is it? I doubt anyone will be coming around to check and see how I empty my tanks.
I am taking steps to for a minimal footprint. I am not dumping anywhere near any water source, lake, pond or stream. And the pits are built using almost the exact same methods we now see in the 'mound' systems being forced to be put in by home owners.
Finally, they have to find us as well... and I have no plans on advertising any information about my actual location, real name or anything else. Keep in mind we are completely off grid.
