well tonight I repaired the wire by cutting back behind the damaged area then place a repair end on then a coupler and another short coaxial cable. Wished I had a crimping tool for the better ends, anyways the cable to the antenna still gets hot so tomorrow night I will get on the roof and disconnect the antenna to see what happens. Hope it the antenna rather than the cable, do not want to try to run a new one
