I notice that you mentioned something about forgetting to put up the entry step?
I'm curious about what you said, as my Itasca has an electric step that automatically retracts whenever the engine is started, no matter what position the electric step mode control switch by the entry door was left in.
The motor home builders constantly change specs for the same models from year to year. Like the OP I have a 2014 Itasca. Mine is a larger unit a 31K. In my case it doesn't have an exterior step. It has a built in step well, which in most cases is sufficient. I might add a minimum drop electric step to use in those cases where and additional step would be helpful.
Another thing to consider is that for 2014 the Spirit, like the Minnie Winnie, is a lower end unit, unlike other years where it has been a higher end unit.
To the OP, having read everything like you do, I'm sure you realize you have other options besides Good Sam for roadside assistance. Itasca has roadside assistance for 1 year and it looks like you have a Chevrolet chassis and I'm sure they have roadside assistance for a few years. I also have Good Sam which I never cancelled when I bought this MH, as well as the Itasca coverage, and having a Ford chassis, I believe they have a 5 year roadside assistance program.
