When I bought my Roadtrek 170, I too never ever had an RV. The first day I had it, a friend took me camping...he and his wife have a class A but he knows RV's! It was the best thing ever. He would show me things, I would take notes, then I would do it. After that 3-day camp trip and a couple more, I felt comfortable. I now have a 24' Born Free Class C and feel very comfortable about driving and camping. I also did a lot of reading. You might want to go to a Camping World if you have one nearby and get some help!
