I got a full set of books with my B, and they were so generic they didn't make sense to a complete noob like I was. This forum helped a lot with tips on when and how to do things, but I still had to call the factory to find my water valves for draining the fresh water tank. And they had to get the engineer who designed the floor plan to tell me since it (at the time) was new.
But I agree, any dealer that wants $100 to give you info, is worth avoiding.
