My first long drive with a class A was about 1200 miles one way. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't intimidating. Took me about 500 miles before I stopped staring at the center line trying to make sure I was in my lane. They are big, but what I thought was the frame and engine were designed for a motorhome, not sure that's the case in a class c. Load carrying capacity is higher as well.
Bought my Tiffin about a year ago for 22,000. Not sure I could have gotten a class c for that in the condition that this one was in. Figured I'd use it for a couple years and see if its for me. Any used motorhome figure about 10-15% of the purchase price you'll have to spend to get stuff fixed, fluids changed, updates.
I find it much more convenient than the typical setup of the travel trailer I had before. Good luck on your adventure!
