That very much depends on the type of motor in the appliance. Induction motors are by nature at least somewhat tied to the line frequency, while other motor types (with brushes) are not. In many devices, though, induction motors are used such that the speed is actually more determined by loading than by the line frequency. Most appliances seem to do fine when switched back or forth, in my experience (which is admittedly not at all comprehensive). Electromechanical timer mechanisms will be affected, as might some digital timers if their timebase is clocked by the line frequency.
At any rate, it would not hurt to check the ratings of the various appliances for line frequency specifications. The air conditioner in particular would be one that I would want to check on.
You should be able to buy or construct an adapter for (most) 50A RV outlets to get 240V since much wiring in North America is split phase 120/240V. Individual campgrounds should all be verified before using such an adapter, though, as I would not be surprised to see some occasionally where the two legs are actually legs of a 120/208 three phase distribution, and thus have 208V (nominal) between them instead of 240V.
