I have traveled millions of miles. I might recommend buying an RV here and running it the year and reselling it through a dealer. I know it won't be setup to European specs but shops are going to look at you cross eyed here. You might advertise to someone for a 1 year trade in Europe for 1 here. Also, you need to think about heated hose (120 volt, 3 hole cords as the US is on 120 volt and either 30 AMP or 50 AMP connections at CGs. You can buy 30 up to 50 0r 50 down to 30 adapters at Camping World stores. You can also get a step up transformer from 120 to 220. It is doable with a lot of work but I think for the right price, buy a diesel powered RV here, drive it a year and sell it. They resell well, look at them on EBAY. I repeated some things but diesel is 3.19/gallon US in Virginia. Look for it to drop to about 2.50/gal by mid summer California, Arizona, Oregon being the highest priced. Oklahoma the cheapest. I hope you write a journal and get in touch with us if you come to our area in Northern Virginia-Washington DC. Don't let people discourage you, come on over. Virginia Clan Hamilton
