We went out today to look around again after doing some research (the first time we went to a show just for fun).
We are really feeling like Winnebago is the way to go. It seems like it stands far and away from others in terms of quality. Being new at this, that really makes us feel better. Not to mention its a lot of money to buy something I feel shaky about standing up to 4 kids!
We took a look at a few models... Outlook, Access, Chalet. We kind of fell in love with the Minnie Winnie 25B. It's small! But that's what we were originally wanting. We are in CA and we've heard that 28' is a sweet spot for getting into state parks. It sleeps us all, with giving the 13 and 8 yr old their own space.
BUT... we went home and looked online at what else this place had available. We found a year older Minnie Winnie 31H for only a few thousand more! That has the bunks the above posters mentioned plus the couch, plus the dinette and overhead. Plenty of space + any friends that might eventually tag along!
It's bigger than what we thought we wanted. Any thoughts about that big of a rig? I know people do much bigger but we mostly planning on exploring the west coast. Any experience about getting into state and/or regional parks with a 31' in CA?
