You REALLY NEED to find out what the tow rating is on that model. The engine/transmission combination might not be good enough to tow that big a load. Then you also need to know the tongue weight so you don't exceed the load capacity of the rear tires.

I have a "small" trailer; it is 6X8 and holds one motorcycle. ;)

P.S. no matter how good a shape it's in things will go wrong. How about the 12 V batteries; how old are they ?

Thanks for the reply. The tow rating is 3500lbs on that model with a max tongue weight of 350. My trailer is 2000lbs loaded and 300lb tongue weight so I should be ok. It has a 454 Chevy engine and I assume a TH400 trans which should be fine. He said the battery(s) is/are new.
