Our current rig is called "Downsize Abbey." The MH was "Motorbot." Our RVing started about the same time we stopped living aboard our 45' ketch, "Resolution" on the Maine coast for three months a year. Not full time, but a lot of time. Loved sailing, but love RVing and especially not worrying about whether the big CQR and 250' of BBB chain will hold through the storm. Other than the difference in surfaces outside your door/companionway hatch, the two lifestyles are very similar. You already know how to live with less stuff and to keep things shipshape. Those are the big challenges, I think, for most people who prepare to RV full-time. Another thing: Driving the RV across Kansas in a windstorm is challenging, but anyone who has endured a big passage at 6 knots, max, will understand how to be careful and patient!! Good luck and enjoy your new motorhome!
