Racerchaser? Sorry, but your dead wrong. You do not NEED to be able to fix a backhoe as a backhoe operator. I don't NEED to be a motorcycle mechanic to ride a motorbike. I do not NEED to know how to fix the merry go round, the refrigerator or my garage door, because I use them daily. And yes, I don't need to be a diesel mechanic because I operate a diesel motorhome...
I am sure very FEW diesel breakdowns are going to be fixed on the side of the road by someone who's "handy" with "tools".
This, my friend, is WHY they have repair shops to begin with. Your comments are offensive and there's always that one smart *** that has to mess up what was a very informative thread. Tag. You're it!!.
I chose what I chose and it was neither ignorance nor arrogance. It was my CHOICE. Sorry, guess I missed the small print in the contract that states in order to drive a motorhome, you must FIRST buy and use a truck camper and work your way up...
I agree. I had a very small 5er for years but it nothing to prepare me for a 40 ft class A. Part of the adventure is learning what you can or care to about your rig. The 40 ft diesel is a dream to drive. Stay up with your preventive maintenance and everything will be fine. Just have fun. Merry Christmas!
