Just make sure you have a decent emergency fund set aside ($10-20k), and quit worrying about it. The chances that you'll have MULTIPLE major problems in a short period of time is very unlikely.
Now if you're already flat broke, that's a separate issue. Buying a 40' dp was not a good idea, and you might want to consider selling it and downsizing enough to give yourself some financial wiggle room.
This is really no different than owning a house - you need to be prepared for major unexpected expenses, but on average it really isn't a big deal.
