I'm just going to throw this out..... You said that you want to stay put and work for a while to build your finances back up. Seems to me a fifth wheel would be a better choice as there is no motor to maintain on a sitting vehicle.
If fact, you don't even need to buy a big truck. Have a dealer or someone take the fifth wheel or trailer to your permanent spot. You can still keep the Saab and Samurai until you decide to start traveling. In 10 yrs. when you fully retire, the Saab will be done and then you can buy a used big diesel truck to pull the 5'ver/trailer and you can still hang onto the Samurai. If you trade up to a class A, the Samurai can be the toad.
Just a few thoughts to think about.
