Well for starters, I too have lived an even went to school in Rapid City, Ellsworth AFB. Much to be desired.. I an the wife have been full-timing now for 3 years, still enjoying it. As mentioned the issue with an older RV is going to be the maintenance, even new ones do have their issues, usually manageable. Go with the floor plan you will most enjoy. Ours has two commodes, which I really like, but I digress, you asked about triple trailering with a fifth wheel, yes it is done, IMHO very very bad idea. You will certainly want to travel with the weather, warmer cliamates in the winter an cooler in the summer. If you keep the saub then you will want a motor home, verses a 5er, much more cost effective for shopping an touring. Enjoy your travels
