Suggest he purchase an entry level new unit and travel with it. By staying in ClassA only resorts he'll most likely find several for sale by owner at each resort. Most of the resorts don't allow for sale signs but the owners don't seem to care about the rules. If he finds one he likes, he won't take a very big hit on a new entry level unit when he sells it.
