No AC power to appliances... PROBLEM SOLVED

I have no power to the refrigerator, microwave and most outlets when plugged into shore power. My load indicator shows that its plugged in and has 50 amps but nothing will work. It will only run on the coach batteries and will run them down. It will not charge the coach batteries either? They are brand new this was the first trip with them. I've had the rv for 3 years with no problems. This was our second trip out this year worked fine first trip.

Same thing happens when I run on genset power.

2005 fleetwood Discovery 39A inverter/charger is a xantrex freedom 458

I've checked the breakers and GFCI breakers all are good.

Any help would be appreciated.

PROBLEM SOLVED. THERE IS A SMALL FUSE INSIDE THE INVERTER THAT WAS BLOWN. NEW FUSE AND ITS BACK TO WORKING LIKE A CHAMP.... THANKS TO ALL OF YOU.

  • Have you reset the GFI outlet in the kitchen and/or the bathroom. Pus the reset button and try again. The GFI sometimes is the first outlet in a string of several outlets on the same circuit and if it trips, it shuts off power to all outlets that are wired after the GFI. Here is what the GFI OutletGFI looks like with the reset button in the middle.
  • Breakers are good. I've reset them and they seem to be in good working order.
  • Verify that the breakers on the inverter are indeed properly engaged. I have the same inverter.
Whether plugged into shore power, generator power or battery power, a good portion of your 120 V power is protected in the inverter with the inverter breakers.
  • Sounds like a total automatic transfer switch failure. normally a ATS failure is one side (shore) or the other (generator) but not both.
  • I might add that the refrigerator will run on propane but no AC power.
