I have a whole house filter setup outside the 5er. Unfortunately, it doesn't help the sediment problem. Once or twice a year, I'll have to unscrew the 90 degree elbow to my freshwater line and clear out any gunk that has built up just in front of hose washer/screen. Now, I'm trying the screen closer to the water bib since the elbow is in a tight compartment and not easy to work with.
