no electric power to Allison shifter

Recently after getting some good advise from this Forum, I changed out both ignition solenoids on my'93 Pace Arrow diesel. Everything ran perfectly from that point. Yesterday, getting the coach ready for a run over to Cummins for its annual oil change there was no start circuit. Everything on the coach was running - power everywhere EXCEPT for the shift lever -no indication of shift position (N, D etc.). Is there a fuse for the shift controller somewhere? In the shifter body itself, is there a possible problem there - burned out resistor, chip, wire, etc.? Once again I am stuck. Any suggestions on this from the members? Thanks.

  • Which Allison??

The 3000's have two fuses to the ECU-- one for memory and one for power. No idea where it is on yours. I would start by looking in your chassis fuse box and then near the Allison ECU.

Allison shifters routinely have a fuse behind the panel where the shifter is mounted (under.) The engine usually won't even turn over if that fuse is blown.
