No heat/not turning on

Still kinda new at this rv thing and only owned lessthen a year, so thanks for the help.
1999 holiday rambler 40' 2 units on the top.
Last time I used the roof top units was mid summer and ac worked great. Now cold out was trying to use heat and it doesn't work. It has 1 thermostate for both units. It's a 4 button thermo and you hold the top 2 buttons in to switch from zone 1 to zone 2.
Go to fire up the heat this weekend, turn the on/off switch on the bottom and the display lights up like normal. But when selecting the mode... only goes to fan, cool, mode off. Nether unit kicks on, it doesn't say which zone its controlling like normal and nothing happens.
checked the breakers in a small box between the bathroom, and bedroom. Nothing else i could find that may go to the units.

thanks guys .........

  • On my 1999 HR, the one Duo-Therm thermostat controls everything (two rooftop A/C units and furnace), but it has to be on Zone 1 for the furnace to run. And yes, you have to have the propane turned on for it to work as well...otherwise, the unit can't light.
  • ummmmm I think they are. The LP I do have off and there is another thermo below the digital on with a slide leaver on it side. Is that one for the LP system. There is also an AUX heat switch on the dash next to the radio that lights up when turning on but does't seem to do anything.

I thought the digital thermo used to say heat, and heat pump when cycling through the modes.

Are your rooftop units heat pumps? If not then they won't do a thing for you in the winter. Your furnace should be in the basement and runs on LP. Is your LP on?
