A couple of thoughts. It is normal to derate the motor in first gear, sometimes second to save the driveline. It does this even when warm. If my brakes stick, from rusting to the drums, the MH will not move. I have to rock it. If you put a chock in front of your tire, I don't think you will be able to drive over it.
