No Start
I got this 2000 REXHALL AERBUS 37' DIESEL MOTORHOME about 5 mth ago and came home set-up checked it out level,water ,power and so on.Was going to start got good battery power but will not turn over. I must be missing something ?

- My mechanic buddy went to a home where the owner had the same problem. They even had a dealer mech. come out and he said the computer was bad.
Turns out there was a switch back in a storage compartment that got flipped by something the owner tossed in there. The switch allowed a nearby button to turn the eng over instead of the key up front.
The guy was a class act - he gave my friend a $200 tip. - If you have good battery and power to the starter, I'd check the major grounding strap--- even take it off and clean the connections on both ends. Ran through a problem like that and could not find what was wrong. In the end someone grabbed the grounding strap and found it red hot-- the only problem was the connection to the frame was corroded and the corrosion was not visible. On my class A unfortunately it was located near the well well thus catching lots of road spray amplifying the corrosion issue which caused the ground connection to fail.
- It acts like some kind of safety or something not letting it start. There is a beeping going on with the key turn on
- If you have leveling jacks and they are down the starter is most likely locked out.
- What is your start battery voltage? Do you have a battery boost switch? if so try using it to get maximum voltage. Also, is your transmission in neutral?
- I've tried battery boost switch and yes leveling jacks are down. my book said to start to build air pressure for leveling jacks
- I need to get it started I'm leaving in three days. I hope

This seems wrong, because as said above the jacks might need to be retracted to allow a start cycle. The simple thing to do is store the jacks and see what happens. This should not interfere with airing up the system when it is started.- I have tried to jacks to up but they aren't
- OK, let's see what works/doesn't work.
When the ignition/key is turned on, what happens:
1. Allison shift pad illuminates?
2. Things such as dash HVAC fan that only work with ignition on work?
3. Click at starter?
4. Have you checked voltage at the starter before and while trying to start?
