No vent hood over propane stove

When we bought our MH in 2009, I noticed the exhaust outside for the Range Hood, but never realized it didn't actually have a Range Hood. I thought maybe it was built into the Microwave. It wasn't. First time I used the Microwave fan, it just blew right back into the MH. I asked the dealer about it, who called Jayco. The dealer was told by Jayco that is how it is supposed to be. I asked why is there an exhaust if there is actual hood, the dealer didn't have an answer.
