I had a problem with My Norcold 10Cu. It was not cooling properly in the fridge, but the freezer was fine. I looked up Norcold and got the number they had on the recall 800-767-9101. I left a message and in 2 days a representative called me back and assisted me with the problem. They were very helpful. Be sure you have your model and serial number, as both would be important to them. In my case, she said there might be a blockage in the coils outside. She told me to take a RUBBER mallet and give the coils a couple of whacks. If there is a blockage that should free it. Guess what. It worked. I now run my fridge on 5 or 6 instead of 8 and the temps are good. I also got one of those fridge fans so the air will circulate in the fridge better.
Good Luck!
Hitting a CU with a RUBBER MALLET IS RIDICOLOUS. Besides, a true Blockage is at the TOP of the cooling coil and not accessable without pulling the refer. I will e mail Norcold next week and let them know someone at their tech call is giving out false information.
Testing a Thermister in cold water is not a good test. A defective thermistor will OHM out correctly
There is NO code for a defective Thermister
Disconnecting a Thermister does NOT run the refer 24/7. It puts it in BOM mode and runs on a specific On and OFF cooling cycle.
A refer that is freezing, the cause will NOT be a Control board.
You always replace the Thermister FIRST on this type of condition. Doug
