the plastic sleeve holding bottom of door in place broke anybody heard of a fix for this thanks jw thompson

Just repaired/rebuilt it to make it bulletproof. The back side of the plastic sleeve that the pin fits into broke on mine. Probably too much weight in the door compartments.
The plastic was broken cleanly so I was able to super glue the piece back in. Then I got an aluminum flat piece, 2 inches by 22 inches by 1/8 inch. Drilled a hole to precisely match the size of the pin and then screws the aluminum to the bottom of the fridge door panel. This reinforces the plastic sleeve so I doubt it will ever break again. The aluminum edge can be seen at the front of the door when closed but it looks like factory o e m.
Had to do the same to my LRM1200 lower hinge left door. I rebuilt the mounting area with different screws, wood shim and JB weld. That was about five years. Holding strong.
