OP- look at the burner when it starts and see if it does at all or even sparks. If it does, look at the flame and see if it's yellow at all. Better yet just take it out and clean it with a slag welding brush ($2@ Harbor Freight), blow it out. Also take a close look at the flame sense/ spark wire. That also needs to be clean. If it looks like the one below, replace it.
