After completing both recalls, the frig made a fairly loud "blow out" sound and leaked ammonia bad. Possibly from a hole in the coils. I cut the power to the frig and luckily had no damage and no fire...

My RV is a 92 but I opted for the new cooling unit despite the warnings about the old electronics, etc. A residential is an option, but I don't think they're designed for the shaking that it'll put up with. Besides, you can't run a residential on gas, but then again with the solar unit, you might not need to.
