It was such a pleasure to read your post. I know what you mean about repeating such wonderful times. We too have done that and I still have some trips I'd like to repeat.
We sure could have used your 12V fan when we visited Death Valley a couple years ago. We were staying in the park with no hook-ups and the inside temp of our motor home read 108 degrees. We didn't get much sleep that night but laughed about surviving DV.
We, too, are PA members, and when traveling, stay at participating CG whenever possible. In April we drove cross country from FL to CA. Fortunately we were able to stay at PA every night both going and coming, costing about $15-$17 nightly for w/e.
Today, here in Vero Beach, reg. gasoline is $1.98 a gallon, so yes, we love having a 55 gal. tank.
