- JanssExplorer IINote to myself. And make sure there isn't a partial sack of potatoes sitting on the floor under the dinette booth after a trip! Or that sack of potatoes sitting on the pantry floor in the house before leaving for a long trip!

just because you do a walk around before moving the RV doesn't mean you can't drive away while still hooked to shore power. :S - GdetrailerExplorer III

Note to self. Always remember to empty your TT kitchen trashcan after trip. It be stankin!!
Better rule yet..
No FOOD "trash" kept INSIDE trailer.
We never leave any food leftovers, trash or even empty beverage containers inside our trailer for any reason while camping. Cuts way down on those unwanted ants and not to mention less chance of leaving anything behind to entice bigger problems like mice to come in and stay.
We keep a small 13 gallon trash container outside and when done prepping food, the scraps are immediately cleaned up and taken outside to the trash container. - Francesca_KnowlExplorerNote to self:
Count the children/pets BEFORE leaving the campground. - Dog_FolksExplorerNote to self: Always chock the wheels before unhooking, no matter how "level" the site looks. Always.
This is especially important if the wife is inside the camper. - fallsriderExplorer

Since our trailer is always plugged in at home, and because unplugging it is about the last thing I do before pulling out of our site at the CG, I worry about this a lot!

Deer meat will stink after a couple weeks and it takes a while to get the smell out. Lol

2x - Found out last month - rotten potatoes in the trailer cabinet - smells like a dead "critter". - kknowltonExplorer IINote to self: always check the oven too, even if it wasn't used to cook anything. Stored a few extra cooked burgers in there one time and forgot. Man, that stunk!!
