The main reason why I am stuck on the 25 foot thing is because many state and national parks, especially in the mountains, California, Big Sur area for example have RV size limits for the most scenic and interesting campgrounds - of 25 feet long or less.
OP, if that's what you want then by all means, go for it.
However, all gorgeous campsites in the West and national parks do not have that 25' or less restriction. With our 40' motorhome we have stayed in Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, Rocky Mountain, Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon and many more national parks. We have been in all the states in the West and public parks are always our first choice - national, national forests, state parks, county and city parks. We also find beautiful spots boondocking in the wilds. We've gone to Alaska and used public parks 95% of the time or else boondocked. Mountains? We've boondocked or used forest service campgrounds up to 9,000 elevation.
I think what we're saying is that you don't have to get a 25' RV to find amazingly beautiful spots. Perhaps we can't fit in the spots that you looked at but those aren't the only scenic spots to be had. You just have to do research before finding that perfect campsite.
Good luck finding the motorhome that is perfect for you!
