Definitely depends on the chassis.
If it is Ford then there was no 1998 chassis built, just leftover 1997's with the 460 V-8 which are OBD-I and then they went right to the early release of the 1999 chassis with the V-10 and it is OBD-II.
So if it is a 460, the it should be right where MountainAir05 sez - under the doghouse and upper left and you'll need the Ford specific code reader. If its the V-10 (or a Chevy), then I dunno!?!
