OBDII port

I'm looking for an OBDII port on my 1999 American Dream, but I can't find one. Is my coach too old to have one? It has a Spartan Chassis with a 330 HP Cummins ISC engine.

  • I finally found it. I already had the correct round connector type for the diesel. Everything is working fine.
    Thanks for the comments.
  • OBDII is a "light duty" vehicle requirement. F53 chassis may have it only because their powertrain come out of Class II-II where it is a requirement,
  • I don’t believe Diesel coaches have a traditional car / truck type obd port. It’s a round plug with a screw on cover. Unless you have the proper adapter and a gauge capable of reading the std obd reader won’t work. Normally one under the dash and or in the electric bay under the driver the American I looked at was in the bay.
  • Ok, thanks. I'll keep looking.
I want to connect my diesel Scangauge.
  • No, it is not too old.
Look in the engine compartment. Right side of rig just below body. On rear radiator, it is mounted on some one the support.
I am not sure, but I don't think it is a true OBD connector!
