For 3" I think it would have made more sense on a long trip to jack it up, remove the wheels and carefully lower it down on blocks on the flatbed, Stow the wheels on the flat bed and then re-install them at the un-load point.
Heck, you might not even have to use blocks, The fully retracted leveling jacks should be just about right. But I'd still lay a plank under the rims.
