Recently towed the Jeep over most of the Ohio Turnpike east to west from I80 in the east to Illinois Cost was $57.15 for 4 axles - it seems the price goes up each year, next time I am going to stay...

Yep, it just cost us a total of $63.75 traveling from the east portage of Ohio to the west portage of Indiana. Truck and TT (4 axils). And again, another $63.75 on our return trip.
There are alternative routes but certainly not shorter or faster. Also, for us, not cheaper considering the extra gas it would cost us.
We don't like paying the ever increasing tolls either but one consolation is that over the years we are seeing better road surfaces with all the reconstruction that has been going on.
