Oil analysis of Ford V10 and Mobil 1

Thanks for the report. I agree with your conclusions-stretch it out to the 7500 miles if necessary. But we're running a relatively small pan capacity with a high fuel burn engine (8-10 MPG). They're just not going to go as long for the oil as a 5 qt capacity car that gets 30 MPG all things equal.

I change mine at 5K (Mobil 1 EP) but if a long trip demanded more I'd do it occasionally. Don't think I'd push 10K with this engine but it would probably handle it a few times without issue.
