But we're running a relatively small pan capacity with a high fuel burn engine (8-10 MPG). They're just not going to go as long for the oil as a 5 qt capacity car that gets 30 MPG all things equal.
That's my thought. Vehicles that have long drain intervals have larger pans and hold more oil. I was curious because the engine is new. The TBN did not copy but it was 3 which Blackstone says is a lot of additive left. Now that it's not shedding a lot of metal, I'll probably go much longer.
