I use the best oil filters I can find, also. Again, they're a bit more expensive but peanuts compared to early engine failure. I also rev our V10 high to tap it's horsepower when pulling up long grades out West, so I figure that using the best oil and oil filters is helpful in promoting long engine life.
It would be interesting to see an analysis of your oil. I have seen reports on this oil with 17000 miles from Ford 150's and it held up well. One reason I might not go that long is resale. Don't think the average person knows how good Mobil 1 is or how good modern oils are today. It's certainly not that expensive at WalMart.
