I'd also recommend an oil analysis for long runs. The starting 100 C viscosity of Mobil 1 5W-20 EP is 8.9 cSt and in the OPs run of 5500 miles has sheared and fuel diluted to 7.69 cSt. On a 4300 mile run with the same 5W-20 EP oil my test came back at 8.3 cSt. It all depends on how thin of an oil you want to run over the duration of your oil change interval, how close to the 6.0 cSt minimum limit for 5W-20.
