I have not heard of any changes in the E450 OEM oil cooler from model year to model year so I assume we are all running with the same oil cooler. It is large, with hoses to the radiator the size of heater hoses. Certainly a key factor that allows for an oil capacity of only 6 quarts on a heavily loaded V10.
DW and I also have an AWD vehicle with a 3 liter motor and 6 quart oil capacity and the oil seems to drain hotter than the E450. Running Mobil 1 0W-40 in that vehicle.
