Interesting report. Wonder how my last car would do? 1998 Ford Windstar, 10-12,000 miles oil and filter changes using Walmart cheapest oil and filter.
After 234,000 miles, no buring of oil and no leakage from the engine.
In fact, the only thing I replaced on that car was tires, 2 batteries, brakes and one alternator
