Counting a boat, we have 05 engines with oil filters. For the boat and the V10, I use name brand: Quicksilver and Motorcraft. The other ones: Aftermarket brands. FL820S is supposed to have an "anti-drainback valve" and so is any proper replacement. But the filter's mounted so it stays full...?
I can say that for all of the 05 engines, I often find that a trail of oil has run down the outside of the filter, from the gasket area, first few days after a change. I wipe that off and don't see it again. Wouldn't call that a leak. I hand tighten every spin-on filter, unless it's where I can't get a two-hand grip on it. Then a tweak with a tool.
Been suggested you look at the adapter that supplies the oil cooler, and its hoses. If it's not leaking, I'd say what you're seeing is normal/not unusual.
