Sep 10, 2013I use a 50 to 30 adapter at sites without 50. I cannot run both ac's on a 30 amp site. I run which ever is more convenient, i.e. if we're watching TV in the front, I run the rear ac and at night in bed, I run the front ac.
My experience with 30 amp sites is that I have to manage the power. I can't run an ac as well as the coffee maker, microwave and ceramic heater all at the same time. I usually have to turn a couple things off.
At home I use a 50 to 30 to 15 adapter and it just gives me enough power to keep the fridge running and keep the batteries topped up. I can also have the TV on.
