elhajj33,
Oh, and yes, that old "engineering brain" thing often works overtime for me, too. I think it's kept me from making a lot of mistakes, but it also causes me to over-analyze things until my wife is ready to kill me. :)
Anyway, as I said, take your time so you choose the right rig the first time.

Thanks again, Remco and GoBelts, got it! I took a brief look at remco yesterday but didn't dig in (thanks for doing that research). It's good to know we can use a lube pump. If we get a DP a trailer for the van might be an option as well. (i really think we'll end up with a DP).
As for all the other issues you mentioned "parent cuddle time". Uh, yes, we've talked about that and it's one reason we like "the kids up front" ;) No more said on that topic, haha.
On the weights: I find the 18,000 weight suspect too, I'll be looking at the sticker next time we go to a dealer. By the way, i doubt you weighed 800lbs when they weighed yours! I find all weights suspect. It's remarkable to me how little regulation there is when it comes to RVs and what manufacturers can get away with - but that's a whole other post!
As for repairs: geico will give us 3k for hotels stays in case we break down (that'll be nice), but we'll have to come out of pocket for whatever repair is needed. $6-10k will be there if we need it, but it would be better if they didn't need to be!
We'll keep looking. It's been a journey. Thanks for all the great comments/ideas/things to watch out for.
